Social Enterprise Associate
The social impact practice, HL BaSE, harnesses the strength of a global, full service law firm to support entrepreneurs to scale their social impact and secure a balance between financial, societal and environmental sustainability. The practice is an alignment between our commercial practice and our engagement with communities in which we live and work.
HL BaSE works in 3 key areas:
HL BaSE Legal: a thriving legal practice advising our impact economy clients on the full spectrum of legal issues that they face. The practice is run on a not for profit basis, offering low bono or pro bono support to its clients.
Signol builds on cutting-edge behavioural science with a proprietary platform, promoting sustainability in the aviation sector. Signol's work has shown enormous potential for fuel efficiency by providing a seamless digital service to feedback data in proven ways, leading to savings which carry high commercial and environmental value. HL BaSE advised Signol on corporate structure, tax, IP and on an investment round.
The Social Enterprise Associate will work within the HL BaSE team to manage support for and advise social businesses looking to scale their social impact.
We are looking for a qualified lawyer to join our Social Enterprise practice, HL BaSE. The ideal candidate will have up to three years post qualification experience (or equivalent experience). Candidates must have experience of providing general corporate / commercial advice, a knowledge of social enterprise and an understanding of the role of corporates in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Candidates will ideally have previous experience advising social businesses and/or NGOs on their legal issues.
