The University of Leicester is embarking on a period of unprecedented change with an ambitious and renewed strategic vision.  In order to build on our strengths we are developing a strategy that will enable us to achieve our expectations and ambitions.  We are passionate about developing and growing our Research and Enterprise division and are creating opportunities that will allow us to provide an exceptional service.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Contracts Officer to join our Contracts Team on a permanent basis. It will be your primary responsibility to provide operational support to the Contracts Team by dealing with a specific agreement portfolio as directed, providing a high level of customer service, and developing and maintaining positive client and researcher relationships.

We will rely on you to directly support researchers and other University staff in need of Confidentiality Agreements, Consultancy Agreements, Studentship Agreements and/or other contracts relating to the research and enterprise activities of the University by identifying and utilising the appropriate contract (with relevant terms and conditions) for the specific needs of a project; drafting outgoing contracts as required and reviewing incoming contracts provided by external partners.

It will be your responsibility to undertake all contract administration both pre- and post-award to ensure all financial and procedural requirements are met and to contribute to the Contracts Team’s effective communications.

As the successful candidate, you will be educated to degree level, or good A Levels (or equivalent) with extensive relevant work experience. You will have experience of reviewing and/or drafting agreements in a commercial or university context and administrative experience in a busy, customer-oriented business environment. We welcome applications from those who have excellent attention to detail and proven delivery of outstanding customer service.
