Leicester is a leading University committed to international excellence, world-changing research and high quality, inspirational teaching. We are strongly committed to inclusivity, promoting equality and celebrating diversity among our staff. Located in the heart of the UK, you will have the opportunity to progress your career in a supportive and varied environment that values hard work and recognises individual achievement.

The role of Customer Services Officer offers an opportunity to join the award winning Attenborough Arts Centre (AAC) at an exciting moment in its development. Audiences are building year on year and are now up to over 110,000 people with an increasing number of families at weekends and a growing reputation for the quality of its artistic programme in both performing and visual arts.

With a new and increased funding agreement in place from Arts Council England the AAC is poised to become one of the leading inclusive arts centres in the country developing its role as a creative hub to make and see art with particular support to emerging artists and artists and audiences with disabilities.

We are seeking somebody with passion and experience in venue management who can work with the senior management team in generating income in both our Creative Learning programme and Catering outlet as well as building connections to local communities and across campus with staff and students.

You will head up a small team of front of house staff including box office, gallery invigilators and Duty Managers building their knowledge and experience in the highest quality of customer care.

The venue is open 7 days a week so we are anticipating the post holder will structure their working week to support weekend events or evening functions when required.

In return for your hard work, we offer a working environment that is committed to inclusivity, through promoting equality and valuing diversity. We offer a competitive salary package with excellent pension scheme, a generous annual leave allowance and an online portal that offers a range of lifestyle benefits and discounts. Located close to Leicester city centre, our award winning campus benefits from a wide range of cafes, a fully equipped sports centre and nursery facilities. Further information regarding our extensive range of staff benefits is available here.

For informal enquiries, please contact Jeremy Webster, Deputy Director Attenborough Arts Centre on 0116 223 1526 or Jw555@le.ac.uk

Closing date for applications is at midnight on 28 May 2018.

We anticipate that assessments will take place on 27 June 2018.
